Various educational activities are conducted under the department to give scope to the artistic qualities of the students. Research projects on various topics are presented to the students so that they get the taste of research from their student days. Lectures are organized every year on various topics. The English Department has been operational with the motto, “where words come alive, and literature opens doors to new worlds”, since the establishment of the college. Initially, English was taught as a compulsory subject for first-year B.A. and B.Com courses. English as a ‘special’ subject was introduced in the year 2001. The department has a well-equipped soft skill training centre with 12 computers and a digital language laboratory to develop students' communication skills. We aim to promote a strong appreciation for English language, literature, and writing, preparing students for success in a diverse and fast-changing world. Our undergraduate programs cater to various interests and career aspirations, covering literature, creative writing and linguistics. Besides academic offerings, we have extracurricular activities like literary clubs, organising expert lectures, and enhancing communication skills through different add-ons and value-added courses. It leads to diverse career paths. Our department equips students with the necessary skills for today's job market and fosters a lifelong love for learning and intellectual exploration.

The Postgraduate Department of English was established in 2009-2010. The department started an M.A. course for students from rural areas and created the opportunity for P.G. level education. The department is committed to the overall personality of students.

Duration
The M.A. English course is two years long and consists of two parts: Part I and Part II. Each part has two Semesters, so M.A. English has Four Semesters. For each semester, there are four papers with 100 marks each.
Eligibility
The student who has passed any bachelor's degree at this University or any other recognised university is eligible to be admitted to M.A. English.
Since the college was founded in 1998, the Geography Department has been an integral part of it. As the department grew, it moved to its own dedicated space to better accommodate its expanding needs. Currently, it boasts a dedicated academic community committed to delivering teaching of the highest standard. The curriculum includes both theoretical and practical courses, with theory being taught at a general level and practical sessions taking place in both the laboratory and the field, tailored to a more specialized level.
The department's offerings span the diverse realms of physical and human Geography, catering to a wide range of interests and academic pursuits. Moreover, given the importance of geography in various competitive examinations, students find the courses of the department beneficial for their preparation. The department organizes a study tour or field visit every year, enriching the educational experience with hands-on learning opportunities.

The Department of Marathi was established in 1998. The department has a well-qualified and experienced teaching staff. The faculty members are engaged in research work and actively participate in International, National, and State level seminars, workshops and conferences. The Departmental faculty members have published two books and research papers. Three research projects have been completed by the faculty from various funding agencies. The Department has a glorious history of University results and other activities. The faculty members fully engage in research work and actively participate in International, National, and State level seminars, conferences and workshops. The department tries to make classroom teaching more student-oriented through group discussions and seminars. The Department has a separate departmental library with 315 books and journals.
